TWHS Robotics (the Pastabots) juniors and seniors traveled to Plano this weekend for the North Texas Tournament of Robots. This off-season FRC event gave the team a chance to test the ambitious redesign of last year’s robot and to continue to develop skills they will need for their competition season in the spring. The Altar de Muertos is a traditional Mexican altar created to honor and celebrate the lives of deceased loved ones. This meaningful tradition, observed annually from October 31 to November 2, is a blend of Mesoamerican ritual, European religion, and Spanish culture.
The altars are beautifully decorated with photographs of the deceased, candles, marigolds, favorite foods and drinks, and personal objects, each item symbolizing love, remembrance, and the belief that the spirits return to visit their families during this special time.
