Senior Events

ORHS Graduation Information

  • Date: Monday, May 20, 2024
  • Time: 7:30 pm
  • Location: Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Pavilion Policies Pavilion Policies-Spanish
  • Ticket Count: 4 per graduate
  • Other seating options: unticketed seating on the lawn & in some seats under the pavilion; first-come, first-serve basis.
  • To access the CISD Graduation Site, please use the Graduation Central link below. The site is where the livestream of graduations will be visible.Graduation Central
  • ADA seating is available without a ticket for the ADA guest and a companion. Simply tell the pavilion staff of the need upon arrival.

Graduation Rehearsal - Mandatory

  • Dress Code: ORHS Dress Code
  • Date:  Monday, May 20, 2024
  • Location/Time:  Meet in NEW gym at 8:30am and find name on bus roster
  • Load buses and ride to the pavilion together
  • Be seated in pavilion in your graduation seat
  • Information given regarding graduation ceremony
  • Practice processing in
  • Guest tickets will be distributed upon exiting the bus once back at school.
  • College signs will be available for photos at school, so wear your college shirts!

Graduation Announcements & Cap/Gown

  • January 2024: Students will receive information packets during senior meeting.
  • Click link to view and order ORHS Graduation Products including cap/gown.
  • February 14-15, 2024: In-person orders during all lunches.(Online purchase is also available.)
  • To ensure delivery by graduation, place orders by February 15, 2024.
  • Orders placed after March 1, 2024 will incur a $15 late fee.
  • April 18th 2024: Announcement Pick-Up during all lunches 
  • May 16, 2024:Caps/Gowns Pick-Up following the 3rd period final exam provided all fees/dues/etc. have been cleared.

Graduation Dress Code (Business Formal)

  1. Men:  dress pants, dress shirt, tie
  2. Ladies:  dress, dress pants/skirt & blouse
  3. Shoes:
    1. Dress shoes or dress boots
    2. NO FLIPFLOPS
    3. NO TENNIS SHOES
  4. Note:  Graduation gowns are ROYAL BLUE and have RED & WHITE stripes on the sleeves.  Please consider this when selecting shoes, ties and any other article of clothing that may be seen.
  5. To clarify: No jeans
  6. Only ORHS/CISD issued regalia may be worn with graduation gowns.  This includes honor graduate stoles, cords, NHS collars, medallions, etc.  Students may not wear other recognition items such as those from religious organizations or scouts.  No leis or other cultural recognitions.  All students must wear the same red/white/blue tassel that is packed with the graduation gowns.  Please check your students carefully to be sure they have complied with this requirement.

Senior Prom

  • LOCATION: The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center
  • COST:
    • Included with Senior Dues
    • Prom Ticket $120 (ticket sales end 4/17/24) on School Cash
    • Tickets will be $150 at the door (cash only)
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    • Seniors will receive tickets alongside payment of Senior Dues
    • Must have a photo ID at prom
    • Prom will be a ticketless event. Seniors who have paid Senior Dues will only need an ID to attend prom
    • Guest tickets, including those for ORHS underclassmen, can be purchased on School Cash Online. Guests must be under 21 years of age and must bring a photo ID to prom

Senior Dues

  • Senior Dues $150 – available July 16, 2023 until January 31, 2024
    • Includes one prom ticket, one senior t-shirt (fall), and one senior picnic ticket. Payments can be made online through the ORHS website.
  • Senior Dues $150 – available until January 31, 2024 until April 17, 2024
    • Includes one prom ticket and one senior picnic ticket. Payments can be made online through the ORHS website.

Senior Dues Includes:

  • Prom Ticket (Sr. Only)
  • Picnic Ticket (Sr. Only)
  • Senior T-Shirt (Fall Only)

Senior Dues do NOT Cover: 

  • Cap, Gown or Graduation Announcements
  • Prom Date Ticket
  • Homecoming Ticket
  • Grad Night 2024 (PTO Sponsored event separate payment for this)

Additional Information:

  • Prom tickets cannot be re-sold, traded, or transferred to another student for any reason. Senior Dues are non-refundable, so keep in mind if your child does not attend prom there will be no refunds issued – NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Senior Dues are optional. Seniors do not have to pay dues to graduate.
  • Seniors who graduate early may still pay dues and participate in all activities.

Senior T-Shirts

  • Fall Senior Shirts: (available September 1st – October 1st, delivery late October)
    • Help support the senior class and show your school spirit with the purchase of a Class of 2024 Senior Spirit Shirt.

Senior Picnic

  • Date: Thursday, May 16th
  • When: 11:00am-1:00pm
  • Where: Northshore Park
  • Catered by Spring Creek BBQ
